QuickWrite has been designed to work with bigger data volume. QuickWrite Hack tries to detect the larger information to be entered/edited and switches between QuickWrite and the Standard keyboard dialog.

I downloaded QuickWrite some time ago but now it won't start properly - all I see is a progress bar and it takes ages to load…

You should purchase and register the product. This will not only remove the annoying nag screen, but will also let you enter all available vocabularies and guarantee you preferential technical support.

Is there an easier way for copying and pasting longer entries?

Yes, there is. Use Copy field to clipboard on exit and Paste clipboard to field on start options.

I can't find the character I need on any of the keyboards...

Go to CharMap and you will find it.

Sometimes longer words appear in the word list and sometimes they don't. Why?

Check your Sort by Word List settings. Your best chance to get longer words automatically displayed is to have the Word List set to 3 columns fast grow - the 3rd column then accommodates longer words from the dictionary.
