What is a codec?

"Codec" is a technical name for "compression/decompression". A codec is a computer program that both shrinks large movie files, and makes them playable on your computer. Codec programs are required for your video player to play your downloaded music and movies.

How to install?

Remove any previous codecs, and install one of above listed codecs packs.

To uninstall previous codecs, open Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall codecs, which typically contain "Divx", "Xvid" or "codec" words in their names.
