What is a codec?
"Codec" is a technical name for "compression/decompression". A codec is a computer program that both shrinks large movie files, and makes them playable on your computer. Codec programs are required for your video player to play your downloaded music and movies.
Recommended codecs for use with MobileDVD desktop converter
There are hundreds of codecs being used on the Internet, and you will need combinations that specifically play your files. For use with MobileDVD Converter, we recommend the following codecs:

How to install?
Remove any previous codecs, and install one of above listed codecs packs.
To uninstall previous codecs, open Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall codecs, which typically contain "Divx", "Xvid" or "codec" words in their names.
