Once an update has been done, you may probably see that a completely different word and definition pop up once you tap on your "Favourite" listed word. This happens when your "Favourite" word list is not auto-remapped.

Once you update your database, a notification will appear, telling you to auto-remap your "Favourites" list. After that, tap on the burger menu and go to the "Favourites" section>>Tap on the three dots>>Auto-remap.

In order to use features such as the Offline mode and Camera search, you would need to allow them permission to access your device's storage and camera.

Usually, a banner appears every time to ask you, but just in case you have denied that permission at first, you can restore it following a few easy steps.

Go to your Device Settings, scroll down and tap on "Apps". After that, tap on the app of choice, scroll down and tap on "Persmissions".
Depending on which feature, you would like to allow permission to, you can choose "Camera" and "Storage". Finally, choose "Allow".

In bilingual dictionaries (for example English-German or English-Italian) or dictionaries featuring more than one entry list (such as Dictionary & Thesaurus) you can easily switch between either entry list with a single touch.

This is done from either the Home page or the Dictionary menu, at the top of the screen below the search bar there’s an icon with two arrows pointing in opposite directions.

Tapping on the icon will change the entry lists, the currently active language/entry list will always be on the left, while the inactive one on the right.

This is a privacy "improvement" added to Android 10 that the developers have to comply with. With Android 10, apps can no longer launch activities in the background without user interaction.
These restrictions help minimize interruptions and keep you more in control of what's shown on their screen.
Apps will now need to seek permission from users to launch background activities by sending them a notification.

You can type the word in the search field so you can check the definition, but there are two more ways to help you throughout your learning experience.

In the upper part of the screen is the Search field, containing the written,Voice and Camera search options.

The Voice search tool allows you to search by dictating a word to your device, which is great if you're unsure of the exact word spelling.

The Camera search lookup tool will allow you to search for displayed or written words.
Simply align the text within the highlighted box, and any found words will be displayed as a list underneath.

To look up a listed word, simply tap on it. Selecting a dictionary entry will reveal its definition, alongside an example of its usage and origin, when applicable.
